Snorkeling
The only complaint here is -- There is too much to see. Shed the excess, grab a good mask, a decent snorkel, and one heck of a pair of fins and go cruising over massive coral heads, or drifting in the shallows on a shelling expedition. If you see something you like, take a deep breath and go. Head for the massive shipwrecks that after years of decay now seem to grow up from the depths. Crash the local hangouts of yellow tale snapper and Atlantic spade fish, part of the Island School's stunningly unique research project called, "The Cage." Whether you are an avid snorkeler or a novice, plan for an extra day, because you won't want to go home until you've explored every last one of Eleuthera's 26 unique underwater sites.
Snorkeling reefs from 4th Hole Beach - Beginner
These beginner reefs are shallow, smooth, close to shore and calm, perfect for families who are eager to become expert snorkelers to spend a day getting their feet wet. This is a from-land snorkel. Free of Charge. Bring your own snorkel gear or rent from Out-Island Outfitters.

Snorkeling Schooner Cays Private Island and Shelling Expedition - Beginner
This is a souvenir hunt. Head out to Schooner Cays Private Island, where you will find plenty of Sea Biscuits just resting on the sandy bottom while swimming around with the local rays. A great trip for honey moon couples or families with children.

Snorkeling the Island School Cobia Fish Cage at "The Exuma Wall's" Edge - Advanced
The 3,000m3 cage is like nothing you've ever seen. It is anchored 90 feet below the surface in crystal clear water, only 100 meters from the wall of the Exuma Sound. This is a major fish aggregation site so be prepared to see sharks, amberjacks, yellowtail snapper, Atlantic spadefish, and remora, just to name a few.
